Hodag
What is a Hodag?
According to American folklore, a Hodag resembles a large bull-horned carnivore with a row of thick spines running down its back and was said to have emerged from the ashes of cremated oxen. A native to Wisconsin and often referred to as “fearsome critter”, the discovery of The Hodag is focused mainly around the city of Rhinelander and has been deemed the mascot of Wisconsin’s northwoods.
Thanks to our Ladies league for creating our Hodag rock on the course which has now become the favorite photo opportunity.
